Kendall Jenner Asked To Star In ‘50 Shades Of Grey’ Sequel

Kendall Jenner (or I guess, Kendall as she goes by now) may be putting on some handcuffs! The director of Fifty Shades of Grey, Sam Taylor-Wood, is reportedly a huge fan of the 18-year-old and is trying to get her to sign on for the sequel. The first film hits the theaters on Valentine’s Day 2015, so if she does sign on, they’ll start shooting soon!
“[Sam]‘s fascinated by her and expressed interest in her appearing in the first film but it didn’t happen,” a source told Grazia Magazine, according to MailOnline. “Universal is also keen for Kendall to be involved in the sequel. They put in a call to her people and arranged a meeting last month, which went really well.”
“It wouldn’t be a major role but would certainly be a foot in the door of Hollywood,” the insider added. “Apparently, she’ll only sign on once Sam Taylor-Wood is confirmed as the director.”
This actually wouldn’t surprise us — we know that Kendall is looking to really change up her career path. She recently dropped her last name to differentiate from her famous family.
“She just wants some independence from her family. Everyone in the business refers to her on a first-name basis, anyway,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com. “It’s really important to Kendall that she make a name for herself on her own and she feels like dropping her last name helps with that goal.”
