Nah. I don't dig a lot but if I do, usually it's through something like dirt, sand, etc. Something that's easy to go through. I also prefer using a shovel so I can move it all at a quicker pace.
No but I once worked in a recylcing center for two weeks. I snagged all the books and electric devices that still looked usable and sold them on a market.
