I feel like besides marriage and human rights violations in Eastern Europe & African countries there's nothing talked about in our community.
Why do many people choose not to look into subjects like Queer Theory, Femism ... ?

I'm not talking about ATRL and Tumblr!
Although some comments on topics like this cause me headache while stalking through this lovely forum.

But yeah. Although... there is a self-hating portion of the community that just doesn't care.

How are they going to talk about it, if they have no rights in some states.

Maybe I should have made this about the first world only. In states where are absolutely no rights for us there's also no access on such a high level of education most of the times.

The community should learn about its own community.
The fact that there is a segregation within the community is sad (but expected, since there is segregation within all communities). People think LGBTQ (or rather GSD) is only about gays, but there are a whole realm of sub-sexuality that people often disregard.

Gays agains gays, against lesbians, bisexuals not taken seriously, transgender not accepted with many in the community. Even if we have marriage equality and laws to protect us, we REALLY need to clean house. It's not really a community now as is.

Pretty much. We need to talk about issues other than marriage equality.

I love to talk about it as a man who wants a family and whose uncle wants to get married, but it won't be the end all. Sometimes I feel like an outsider in my own "group" I guess you could say :/

Definitely. The LGBT community literally only focuses on gay marriage. No other issues facing gay/lesbian people are ever discussed. And the B & T don't get recognized at all.
