You have to realize how much money tobacco pumps into the US, as well as other huge markets. It would be devastating to lose and would really alter the economy.
People also have the freedom to do what they please regarding their own health. Besides, there's more air pollution that comes out of automobiles and factories than cigarettes do. As long as it's not in an enclosed area.
