Is it okay to feel good about yourself...
...even though you're ugly? Should ugly people accept themselves? Or do you believe ugly people should do everything in their power to hide or get rid of their flaws (surgery or other cosmetic procedures)?
I've been thinking about confidence. I wonder if it really helps in certain cases.
Does confidence improve your overall look and vibe even though you're generally considered unattractive?
How would you feel if an ugly but funny and outgoing person stepped up to you and asked you out on a date?

Ressti, you cannot look that bad. You for sure underrate yourself.
And I think ugly people, though it's subjective, should accept themselves. Beautiful people are really rare, anyway.

As long as you're happy with yourself that's all that matters, what you find ugly, someone else could find beautiful.
If someone feels like they have to get surgery to improve their confidence well that's their choice.
Confidence is a great thing and most people say that's the most attractive thing.
That's my take on it anyway.

confidence definitely improves your looks, I've liked many guys that weren't the best looking but their confidence and personality made them attractive.

I do tbh, but i'm starting to accept my flaws... now i'm wondering if it's wise...
Yeah, beautiful people are rare. I think most people are just average. But i'm talking about people who might look a bit abnormal.

I don't think it's bad to hide your flaws, like if u have bad breath and you take mints, it's covering ur flaws, and tbh I am thankful when people do that, or if you wear clothes that fit ur body type, wear make up or stuff like that... U should love urself always, but should always work on urself, if that makes u feel better

Yeah, the make up thing... I don't wear make up at all. It feels like i'm deceiving people. Men don't wear make up, most of the time, so why should I? But i've started wearing foundation because my skin needs a bit of help.
But certains things can't be helped.
I wonder if flaunting your flaws is better than hiding them...

You shouldn't have to pander to what society's deception of "beautiful" is, nobody should. Sure, it's no lie, beautiful people have it a lot easier than the rest of us, but that dosen't mean you should adhere to those codes and conventions if your just doing it for the soul purpose of fearing other peoples judgement.
Of course you should feel good about yourself, everyones entitled to that no matter what they look like. It's a basic human right as far as I'm concerned.
And confidence is such a sexy trait; as is humour, James Cordon is someone who I find incredibly sexy. Despite the fact he's incredibly overweight... his charm and personality make up for it, therefore I find him attractive.

You should always accept and love yourself. Beauty is subjective as said before - if you feel like you need plastic surgery to be happy with yourself then go for it, but don't do it just to fit someone else's idea of what is beautiful.

I agree with this, accepting yourself is the most important thing and will make yourself feel better always, but if you don't feel confident, you can always work on yourself. It's a mixture of both. But as long as you are happy, no one can take that away from you. Everyone finds different things beautiful, but don't change yourself if you don't want to, just to be more liked by someone, it's not worth it.

What if what you looked like isn't accepted by society... at all?

this is why I wish I was straight sometimes. I know girls like cute guys but they look at the ENTIRE person and they can love someone even if they aren't very attractive. Its not like that in the gay community though. that's why so many gays have low self esteem

Having lots of self-esteem is never bad. I wish I had a bit more of it too.
