I saw this. So ****ing tragic.

And so stupid for the police to do this in the current social climate the U.S. are in, especially concerning race relations. I mean, it would have been stupid of them to have murdered him anyway. But to do it now given everything going on in Ferguson...absolutely ridiculous.

Wouldn't surprise me if the protests started spreading across the nation even more.

I thought the guy was holding up a knife when he was approached by the police. They asked him to drop it a few times and he kept moving toward them. At least that's what people on Facebook are saying.

The police obviously aren't trained to handle violence by diffusing the situation or disarming someone with a hand-held weapon. They are trained to be attack dogs when they feel threatened. It's crazy that the answer to criminal activity lately has been to strike down with great force. He shot several times. Just like Mike Brown was shot half a dozen or more times.

Honestly this gave me the chills. I can't believe a life was taken away over something like this by once again law enforcements.

Yeah that's what the Police are saying, although I can't see it in the video.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be insensitive, but he deserved to be shot. NOT killed, but at least shot and neutralized to the point where they could arrest him and take him into custody.

He tried to be big and bad, and steal sodas (of all things), then ran towards the police (allegedly with a weapon) and you can hear him telling them to shoot him right before he charged at them. He got what was coming to him

No sympathy. But most people are going to ignore his actions and focus solely on the fact that it was a black man getting shot by the police, and make it a case of racism.

No one is saying that he didn't deserve to be neutralized. In fact, everyone is saying that he deserved to be at least neutralized.

Police are supposed to assess both danger to the locals, and attempt to determine the suspects mental stability. Whether he had a knife or not, he was mostly 15 feet away from the officers and did not deserve to be shot 10 times.

Instead of the panning the issue, please delve into the horrible cases of police brutality and misuse of lethal force in America that just happen to be concentrated in lower class suburbs.

they need to just put the guns down like seriously, he did not need to be shot that many times. If they really felt like they needed to shoot him so they could go arrest him, one shot in the foot and at least they wouldnt have turned it into a murder scene.
