Former X Factor star Leona Lewis and animal lover has thrown her support behind a hunt for a goat that has gone missing from Brentwood’s Hopefield Animal Sanctuary.
The horned animal, named Hazel, was discovered missing on July 22 when staff did their early morning headcount.
Following a social media appeal led by the Gazette and the sanctuary, 20 people turned out and trudged through boggy woodland in a bid to find the missing 12-year-old goat on Saturday.
The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer also did her bit by re-tweeting a picture of Hazel to her 1.1 million Twitter followers.
