Noel Gallagher says he is too "old-fashioned" to play Guitar Hero, insisting he prefers the real instrument over the popular video game.

"I always tell kids playing a guitar is not a video game, there is no level to get to," the Oasis guitarist said in a new interview with Total Guitar magazine. "You'll never master it and you'll never complete the game. I've never played Guitar Hero myself. I suppose I'm a bit old-fashioned."

Although he's not a fan of Guitar Hero, Gallagher did say it was better for kids than more violent games. "If it puts little plastic guitars into kids' hands and fires their imaginations, I guess it's a good thing."

A local DJ once said if people put half as much time into learning to play a real guitar instead of playing with a piece of plastic, they could be like Slash by now.

i wouldnt expect noel to play guitar hero.
