With the right promo, (which back then, they actually did okay with promo), this could've been HUGE! It actually gained a bit of airplay before they ended up canceling it. They canceled it only because the album wasn't selling as much as Metamorphosis was at that point. Which is a huge DUH! "Fly" wasn't as big as "So Yesterday" and "Come Clean". "The Getaway" could've easily pushed the album over 2 million. Also, two years later, her label did the same with "Dignity", which was planned, but again got canceled. Thank God, she left them.

It was able to reach the top 20 for an hour or two on iTunes, and now it's starting to fall. It's only because Disney premiered the video after a movie premiere, or a show premiere or something like that. It's the same reason Miranda's "About You Know" went top 30 on iTunes, because the video premiered on Nick after a Drake & Josh movie.
