Is it. Or it's still a major problem. There are many forms of racism I know. But I think people are less racist and more progressive. You see everywhere interracial couples holding hands and cuddling. I think there is still some racism. For example in Europe there is a major hate toward Gypsy or Romani people. Discuss smartly.

I feel the opposite. Especially with the uptick of law enforcement killing defenseless black teens, the "purge" threats in certain areas in the south, the protests occurring in Ferguson, Missouri among every day experiences I have as a black, gay male. Intolerance is still very much a part of our society.
Have we gotten better? Of course! America has made tremendous strides but to think that racism is "fading" in society when the USA was built off of almost three hundred years of slavery and treating African slaves as sub human is a bit naive. It's forms have changed.
Everyone isn't burning crosses in front of lawns, but they are denying certain people job opportunities, they wish to keep neighborhoods segregated, they look the other way and justify law enforcement killing black men because they harbor a fear for blacks and view them as "wild" "savage" "less than" . . . "sub human."
We still have quite a way to go. I live on the north side of Chicago, a heavily segregated U.S. city, and I experience subtle racism in the workplace, on public transportation, etc.
