Top 4 successful American Idol in your opinion?
This can be winners and contestants alike, and I figured I would post it here since it's not really music news.
I'll start...
Kelly Clarkson:
Kelly is the original American Idol, and she will always be America's sweetheart. She swept the floor with Thankful and Breakaway, astounded fans with her amazing writing and raw vocal talent on the not so commercial My December, and she is sitting pretty @ #1 on iTunes with her newest single from her 4th album, My Life Would Suck Without You, which will most likely go number 1. And to top it all off, she has sold almost 20 million records worldwide.
Carrie Underwood:
Carrie stepped on the scene and immediately killed all other country competition, her debut album "Some Hearts" sold nearly 7 million copies in the states and she has had plenty of Number 1's on the country chart. She has sold nearly 10,000 million albums in a little over 4 years.
Daughtry:
Daughtry was booted off 4th place on season 5 of idol, but proved to be the star. He is a hit on pop and hot ac radio alike, and his album has sold over 4,000,000 copies to date.
Jordin Sparks:
After a lousy first week of sales, everyone wrote her off and deemed her a flop. Things changed when Tattoo hit the top 10 on BB100 and sold nearly 2,000,000 copies digitally. Sparks followed up with No Air, a worldwide hit, selling nearly 5,000,000 copies digitally. Her 3rd single OSAAT was also a hit on the charts, peaking @ number 17, making Jordin the first Idol to have all of her singles from her debut album go top 20 and platinum. While her album hasn't been selling like hotcakes, Jordin has still made a name for herself in the music business, and is even nominated for a grammy. She has sold 1.3 million worldwide.

Jennifer Hudson - Grammy Nominee, Oscar Winner, Gold album and hit R&B single.
David Cook - Gold Album, Gold single, and a number 1 on hot ac. He will probably sneak into the top 4 eventually if things hold up.
David Archuleta - Platinum single, Gold album, lots and lots of fans, but not quite there yet. People don't take him seriously enough.
