BoA's new compilation album will be released in Japan on March 4th; however, this release is going to be a two album box set featuring her English debut album.
The track-list is still tentative from my understanding, because the Crystal Kay and VERBAL collaboration doesn't have a title yet and only "Eat You Up" and "Look Who's Talking" are listed on the still untitled English album. Actually, her "Best of" album and English album are still just listed as "Best & USA".
I think the fans that have any semblance of a brain will understand that she's going to flop in the U.S. Radio won't touch her, she's only been performing at night clubs or other small, irrelevant venues. And she's only been reaching out to other Asians or her already-established fanbase.
I really wonder when this U.S. promo is actually gonna start kickin in.
"Eat You Up" shoulda been sent to radio. Their really taking their sweet time.
I didn't expect them to release her english debut album in Japan first. I'm hoping its gonna be different from the one the U.S. is gonna get cause I don't even think she's finished recording yet.
I understand that she's tryna balance her career in the U.S. while still keeping it up in Japan but I'm not liking this double album thing.
The only good thing is we'll get an mp3 of "Look Who's Talking" sooner than I thought.
I love "Eien". It's her first good Japanese single I've heard since "Winter Love".
And relating to the double-album release: Avex needs something to sell a BoA "Best of" album because she hasn't had a "hit" in a while, plus I don't think her English album could sell on its own in Japan, so this is a smart way to market it and get people to buy both.

Yea, I agree about "Eien" though I did like "Lose Your Mind" & "Sweet Impact".
And I guess it is a good way to market the best album, I'm just getting sick of waiting for this damn U.S. promo to really start.
They've done some bits of promotion but nothing major.
I read that some of the songs for the english album will be her Japanese songs re-recorded in english.

I REALLY pray that's not the case.
I keep telling other fans that re-recording old hits for an English album is a very bad idea. Her biggest hits are from 2000-2003, and that bubblegum pop sound is outdated now. The 90s teen pop phase is long over and putting songs like "Amazing Kiss" on her English album would be awkward. However, I suppose she could also re-record them with "updated" arrangement to fit in with our contemporary sound. Still, I dislike that idea. I would rather hear a new album with fresh material.
However, I'm not against hearing "Eien" recorded in English, because it sounds very American radio-friendly to me.

Excatly.
I also wouldn't mind an english version of "Eien". It's def. her most "american" sounding Japanese single in AWHILE.

Anyways, here's her new Japanese single "Eien":
Eien is ok, better than her entire last album excluding Aggressive
I really don't like the idea of her releasing her debut English album with her Japanese greatest hits album.
Are you talking about Japan? If that's the case, then releasing a double album in Japan won't make that much of a difference. That definately won't be the case here.

Well yea obviously it won't be the case here since she isn't releasing her Japanese best of in the states.
My problem is that since she's releasing her debut U.S. album with this best of album on 3/4, all the songs will be leaked onto the net b4 the U.S. release date is even announced.

ahh, I see. Honestly though, because almost nobody knows her, it really won't make much of a difference. It's not like a Britney Spears or Kelly Clarkson song.
