I just want the era to be visually cohesive. It's a cool idea, but fashion-wise, it's not very 'now.' I can't imagine the biggest style icon in the world encouraging other women to wear stuff like this:
It's too avant garde and costumey for Rih. Plus it would be impossible to maintain.
I want the visuals of R8 to be inspired by Studio 54.
Most likely it's a theme designed by W's art direction team, not from Rih & Her team.
Most of her photoshoots don't follow the current era's styling, except some shoots from LOUD.
But if anything, I'd like for her to play "characters" in her videos like what she's been doing in her last few covers (Harper's Arabia and W), as opposed to just play Rihanna, you know?
