Good points. Try to relate the skills/experience/interests you have mentioned in your CV to the job role, use them to explain why you think you are the ideal person for the internship (but don't overdo it, stay modest and realistic).
Do some research about the company and write about why you think you will be a good fit for them. Also mention what you hope to gain from this internship/how you think it will help you/why you want to do it.
