It depends largely on the artist they are trying to score. Sometimes it goes later. But the half time show is narrowed down to a few acts by this point. So, they already know who they are going to use. I would put big money on it being Garth this year.

Please tell me exactly how that be embarrassing? Weird Al's audience is mostly straight men who love to drink beer and probably love watching football for what it is, not a pop halftime show who stans on music forums make a bigger deal than anyone else I've always gone to Super Bowl parties and everyone takes a piss or food break during halftime, especially when it's not a rock or legendary band playing.

I don't think it be a good idea but I don't see how it be embarrassing when it's just football and not a Presidential Debate Conference or anything of that matter
