Two years after Nicki Minaj hopped on Madonna‘s MDNA — both with “Give Me All Your Luvin” and “I Don’t Give A” — the multi-talented rapstress
is still very much in awe of the Queen Of Pop.
In a recent radio interview with Hot 97, the “Anaconda” diva discussed her meme-generating, bootylicious single artwork that caused a bit of the stir on the Internet. And, as it turns out, it was the eternally controversial Material Girl’s own fearlessness that inspired Miss Minaj to blaze her own trail too.
“In the beginning of my career, I took pictures like that, I did photo shoots like that and I don’t wanna lose that sense of who I am,” she explained of the eye-popping shot.
“I feel like one of the people who I looked up to the most was Madonna and she’s never stopped pushing the envelope. She’s never stopped taking risks and I don’t want to ever stop doing that either.” Nice one, Nicki. Spoken like a true fellow #UnapologeticBitch!
