Since I live in a town, most of the gay are closeted and the only way to meet them is throughout a closeted gay community of friends or acquaintance , or throughout gay dating apps. However, those few weeks I got sick and tired of the bi's/gay's behavior, so I deleted grindr two weeks ago and I erased most numbers of useless gay/bi friends or people I tried to go on hangouts and dates with and failed . I am turning away from the gay community ? Is that too much or it's an alright thing to do ?

And you're not making it clear about what behavior and where did it happen.

Well not every gay guy in the community is nice, genuine or trustworthy so I understand your feeling.

Where I live, all the gay guys are out but in high school, or they are the guys that are married or have girlfriends but want the D. It's just annoying either way.

Meeting people through dating apps/grindr/etc. is much different than just meeting friends that are gay.

Most of them are just liars and not serious. They have no problem trying to have anything sexual thing with you but they don't want friendship or a relationship. At first, I thought my approach was wrong and giving wrong hints, but later I saw it wasn't really me or my fault.

I struggled with the same **** as well. The gay community was largely a mess, everything was sexually charged, and I wanted nothing to do with it.

But at the end of the day, you gotta know that there's a really beautiful side to it as well, and you don't have to change yourself to embrace that part. You don't have to fall prey to the trap of constant hookups to the point that you're numb to the desire for true love, like so many of us do. There's some guy out there for you, you just have to be patient and keep some sort of standards until you meet him. Our generation has the chance at having a real life with a partner of the same sex and being somewhat excepted. Don't **** it up chasing old ideals. Be patient.

Considering the fact that most people here are not involved in the gay community in real life, I'd say you can live without it.

Most people here aren't even 21. Who's to say they won't be when they are old enough to.
