Music News: Sugababes working with Beyonce and Rihanna's producers

The Sugababes have announced that they will be working with producers behind Rihanna and Beyoncé's biggest hits on their next album.

Band member Keisha Buchanan revealed that they would team up with top US producers to work on their seventh studio album next year, but remained tight-lipped over their identities.

"We're going to be working with producers who've worked with Beyoncé and Rihanna so we're really looking forward to next year," she told DS.

"We'd also love to work with Cee-Lo from Gnarls Barkley - we met him when we were working with [US record producer] Dallas Austin and we'd love to do something with him."

The singer added that the group would take their time working on the follow-up to Catfights And Spotlights, which failed to match the success of their previous albums.

"We want to start in February and take about a year to write it. But it depends - if everything goes well and we get a massive single, then obviously we'll come back straight away."

The band release their new single 'No Can Do' on December 29.

I think SB are good experimenting with new sounds and producers. They at least try to stray away from the same production team.

It's true, this era was disastrous. I'm all for Xenomania but it wouldn't hurt to try new things at the same time.

I think Spotlights is a great album and much better the GA album. Not sure why it didn't take off, Girls was a great single.

The handling of this era has been disastrous (single choice). The album itself is far from that. If you can appreciate good music then you would see; ''Catfights & Spotlights'' is one of Sugababes best albums, certainly the best since Amelle joined.

When ''Change'' was released, people complained Sugababes had ''lost their edge/become predictable''. C&S isn't an album full of Top10 singles, but if you listen to the whole album you will see it's a masterpiece; ''Sunday Rain'', ''Can We Call A Truce'', ''Every Heart Broken'' & ''You On A Good Day'' are among Sugababaes best work, lyrically and musically.

Stop with the Sugababes bashing.
