This duet is critically acclaimed not only by the critics but by the fans (most iTunes reviews have named it the best song on the album). Why Monica **** on OFF-Keyshia like that??? Why Monica steal her album spotlight??? I'll tell you why, because she is the baddest bitch in R&B music today with the greatest voice since Whitney. High notes, long notes and runs/rifts, Monica got them ALL while your flops can barely whisper on a track. That vocal run at 3:33, kills me everytime. WHEW I ****ing love this girl!!!!!!
i thought the same thing when i heard it Monica did the damn thing on this song and shut it DOWN!!! Now if Monica's next album is anything like she's singing on this song, then I'll mos def buy it because although her last album was for the pits(except for A Dozen Roses and Hell No ) and too damn short!
You should check out Thanks for the Misery (bonus cut), it sounds like Street Symphony and Monica kills the adlibs in falsetto. I didn't know she could sing that high for as long as she holds those rifts. Yeah her next album will be very much like that song... I'll post more info soon on her album since her first single will drop next month "supposedly".
Hmmm ... I think Keyshia did the better job on this track? I'm really beginning to fall in love with her voice; it has so much personality. She also seemed to have something invested in the song, unlike the other one who just sounded like a camel moaning for four minutes and thirteen seconds. (But, then again, I'm not a fan of the turn Monica's voice has taken in the last few years. I know she never said she'd get vocal lessons, but ...)
