I like this guy.... but it's not a good idea. I'm not the type of person people fall in love/lust with. I'm not sure what he thinks of me, he's nice but i'm pretty sure he doesn't think of me...
How do you get over a crush before it develops into something deeper?
I've managed not to fall in love for 8 years... I'm too old to be dealing with unrequited love.
It's freaking hard. Getting over an old boyfriend is one thing, but getting over a crush is worse. Because he might just do some little thing that suddenly makes you go head over heels again, and you won't have as many bad memories to content yourself with. Try to think bad things about your crush, convince yourself he's bad news. I have my own technique, probably wouldn't work for that many people, but instead of watching sappy teen romances, I watch horror movies with my friends. For some reason, just getting my blood pumping, and feeling the rush, along with laughing with my friends makes my crushes go straight out of my mind. I make a point to never look at my crush anymore, and answer blandly if he talks to me, forcing my mind not to think about what he said. Instead I concentrate on my friends. It would probably help to tell a friend, though i know it's embarrasing, but best friends really do help a lot.
If he knows you like him, and doesn't like you, he will make sure to stay away from you, and act annoyed a lot. If he likes you, then he'll be hovering over you, and showing off a lot.
sometimes you really can't stop liking a crush, and well it's pretty much a fantasy anyway, so there's nothing wrong with indulging in it, if you don't need to concentrate, or don't want a real boyfriend.

He kills kittens! He has a **** fetish! He doesn't wipe his ass after taking a dump! His armpits smell! He doesn't brush his teeth NEVER EVER. Just try to get yourself disgusted by him by thinking these as facts.
It sounds silly I know but it worked like a charm when I was in high school.

I don't have the time for that OK? I'm leaving for college now and I ruined my grades in high school crushing on this guy. I took an AP class and failed with a 1 just so I could stare at him in class. I think about this guy all day and in my dreams. I need this obsession to stop, I'm prepared for shock therapy tbh.
Find somebody else to crush on. Or if you don't have a full blown crush on them yet, but you can feel yourself going in that direction, just quit them cold turkey. It'll hurt at first but when you aren't dealing with unrequited feelings you'll thank yourself later.
