I really like some of Jason's stuff, and my dad loves him. He'll probably slay the country music world like always.

Let me wait for the itunes version. I figured that's why Jason's team wasn't pushing his song "This Nothin' Town" on country radio plus Jason releases a new album every 2 years. I guess I'm excited for this song and watch it fly up itunes tomorrow

I really thought "That's My Kinda Night" would be the song that opened the eyes of all these "bro-country" singers and realized this ain't remotely Country, but they clearly don't learn. The lyrics are awful, cliched and very poppy. The instrumentation is way far from what Country stands for. Might as well send this to Pop and Hip Hop stations 'cause this should not be called Country. I expected better from him, but off course, it'll be a hit.

Well look at the people behind TMKON and they do not involve the bolded:
ie. Florida Georgia Line. Its a song I'm not a fan of. Jason cannot do Bro-Country, borrowing Brantley Gilbert's musical style was the best thing that happened to his career and his country rock side is good. Other then that, this song doesn't work for me.

But it will skyrocket on country radio for his name alone but I will keep an eye on overall sales of this song

Also TMKON really set the bar with a good Bro-Country song. When will FGL out do that song (don't pull in Cruise receipts, we know which song is better)

For me they both suck, that's the thing. I cannot pull any receipts cause I honestly think both songs suck. Well, maybe they don't suck, but I hate that this is what gets to be called "Country" nowadays. Especially when there are real country singers out there, singing about real topics, and they get overshadowed by this kind of music. I think Luke (and even Jason) is capable of so much more. I miss the days when it was all about artistic integrity instead of getting an easy hit.

I only agree with your perspectives about Jason Aldean

I respect your opinion; your taste is your taste and nobody should look down on you for it. But I'm a hardcore Country fan, and the genre's really shifting towards something that cannot be called Country. Yes, every genre evolves, but Country has always been characterized for keeping its roots. Nowadays these "bros" are putting less Country elements in their songs and more hip-hop. That's why I'm disappointed. Taylor made the transition, she caters to pop. Maybe all of these guys should too, cause TMKON, Cruise/TIHWR, and now this Aldean song, that ain't Country.

Though I give kudos to Bryan, for releasing "Drink a Beer" and "Roller Coaster", those songs are really good.
