****i personally love the promotion behind the album. Each video is exclusive premiere, today was Funny or Die, Word Crimes was Vevo, Foil was College Humor. He did a funny chat on Reddit the other day. The tacky video was filmed in a one shot take. He had to start on the 5 th floor, then run down five flights of stairs while changing outfits to appear in perfect timing for his next scene.
He also has NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL POLKA! on the album that includes a polka of Wrecking Ball...sounds sooo funny...among others.

Its an acquired taste i guess. He lives to just make people laugh. Extremely nice guy too. Had a few 'crossing paths' with him. He's been doing this over 30 years. I like that, he has his own style, yet also writes his own original comedy songs too. But, my fav is when he loops a batch of songs we all love and turn them into one polka.
Have you seen this video though? Even if you don't like him...the animation in the video is so funny. Especially when you see Beiber singing Baby Baby and they show him in a bib. And when he's singing Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl, (its funny when he sings, 'hope my boyfriend don't mind it!). Watch POLKA FACE here at least once...if you don't like it ... then ya, maybe it's not your thing...
Weird Al is making lots of public appearances this week. At AMOEBA MUSIC in Hollywood, fans waited in line for autographs and to meet the comedian/singer. This year marks his 35th year in the biz.
He was also on The View this week, and here ... on Conan, performing TACKY. He chatted with fans on Reddit and Twitter, also appearing on Fox News and more.

Today, he also unveiled the 5th Video, "Sports Song.". 8 Videos in 8 Days. Each video is brilliantly linked online; today's Sports Song was FunnyorDie, Another video was YahooMusic, WordCrimes was Vevo, Tacky was Nerdist.com, Foil was College Humor. For a full week of new videos everyday...there's posts all over from fans on Tumblr, Instagram and more. I'd say the online marketing strategy here is brilliant! Add in the cameos from Margaret Cho, Jack Black, Aisha Tyler...he's everywhere again! It's good to see him going out with a bang! He announced this week, that this will be his last full length album, it completes his 32 year contract. In the digital age; he's going to focus ob single tracks rather than full albums. Which means...more parodies! Yay!
He's got three more videos up his sleeve! Wonder what tomorrow's video will be?
