There're total 11-12 songs 'confiscated' by Epic Records screwing up the original idea of Avril Lavigne's fifth album. Listen what David Hodges, the cowriter of her latest self-titled album, said
He starts talking about the sessions with Avril starting at 18:00, and then goes on for like 3 minutes.
He confirms that he wrote 11-12 songs with Avril/Chad (specifically around 20:15), and then other writers came in to help finish the album.
The songs are written and produced only by Avril Lavigne, David Hodges and/or Chad Kroeger in "Avril Lavigne"
And dun forget the amazing cover, it's the same too
I mean, seriously? How the hell does Epic Records have the rights to choose "the best songs" when they fail to promote their artists. They are like "The bad sale is turned out by bad songs" like blaming their artists that they dun write good music.
Wow, I literally didn't think they could be any worse than I had thought but...
If the album had been more in that direction, just w0w. It would've been so much better.
We did not need f**king "Sippin On Sunshine" and that horrendous ******** Literally bye.
Oh my God.... I loved Avril Lavigne, but there's a chance it could've been even better if Epic didn't f**k it up like they do everything else. When is she going to leave Epic Records? Honestly... Every artist signed to Epic Records needs to leave because this is bullsh*t. They're not doing their artists any justice; they're screwing up their careers! It's not fair to the artists or their fans.
Come to think of it, all these artists (except Ciara) creates the same kind of music. Like really generic. Karmin can sing I Wish. Cher Lloyd can sing Bitchin Summer. Bonnie can sing I Want It All.

Avril's a big girl. If she wanted those songs out she'd have gotten them released. Isn't that why she moved to Epic, for more control? She needs to start caring more, because the people she works for won't do that for her.
These must be the songs with those promising, great titiles like Echo, This One's For You, Time Goes By.. It's a very pity, but Avril should fight for her music more like she did when she was younger, because really, it's the second time that happens..
