I agree on both parts. Doing something solo is easier, depending on how they sound and what she plans to do with that. If she's releasing this stuff really soon, I imagine she won't tour for it - at least not immediately - since her baby is due in the next couple of months. I mean, she could just release an album and let fans enjoy it, and meanwhile she can enjoy time with her newborn.
But I do think she should do both solo stuff and Evanescence. People love the band and really want to hear more of that kind of rock music, but it's fun for her to try out something different on her own.
