And, yeah, she has pop support but that doesn't last forever. At least with the rap community, you get praise for your material even if you "flop". For the most part, the rap community is great when it comes to acknowledging great albums.

Out of curiosity, why do y'all believe it doesn't matter? I mean, rapping isn't really the same thing as singing where it's ok if you didn't write it. It's kind of a big deal. Lots of rappers do use ghost writers, but it's not really looked upon well.

Yes. She really just seems like she's only here to be a pretty white "marketable" face on material that isn't hers in any way (written by others, performed to sound like others etc.). What part of "Iggy Azalea" is actually coming from Iggy? It makes her feel incredibly inauthentic and fuels the people referring to her as a "unoriginal product".

If she can't freestyle, that's one thing... and a whole other subject. But if she can't write her own rhymes, she illegitimizes the art form she's adopted. I need ya'll to remember how hip-hop came to be, how it evolved, what it represented culturally, and what it produced sociologically.
