- It taking 10-15 minutes to connect
- Whilst online your landline was disabled and was unable to receive calls (this cause SO much ****
- taking 10 minutes for one page to load
- having to pay for your internet per the hour ( We had used timers to give eachother turns)
- having to pay for email & pay to go on other sites
- the games and their 8-bit graphics

But yes I was here for it, and tbh I missed those days! I used to STAN Cartoon-network and Nickelodeon back then. Those were my two fav sites lol.

I used to download music on our dial-up connection and we had to run a lead all the way from our PC through to the connection in the kitchen It's weird that I can still remember that even though I was only born in 1996.

OMG I forgot about that. So many times I was kicked off the internet 'cause someone had to use the phone and I would be so pissed

Yes, those were dark days. Whenever the landline rang the internet would drop out. Whenever I was downloading something you'd have to ring the family and friends and tell them not to call that day because the internet was downloading something

Yes, granted we got WiFi immediately after it became available (around '03/04?) and had our internet provided through our satellite dish from 2001 on because the dial-up was just so slow Back in the 90s though we had it. I used to hate the noise and how slow it was.

I was pretty young then, and I would spend hours playing games online and when the bill came my parents gave me a bad scolding.
