MTV Video Vanguard 2015-2020 & beyond
EDIT: With the VMAs ratings coming in, we now know they dipped.
Who should be the vanguard next year?
So, now that rumors are swirling that usher might be honored this year I have to say I was expecting Beyonce but Usher's has more hits, more memorable videos and longevity. Of course Britney was rightfully awarded as the first one of the 21st century pop star generation. Videos: You make me wanna, nice and slow, My way, u remind me, u got it bad, u don't have to call yeah, burn, my boo, caught up, love in this club, trading places, lil freak
omg, there goes my baby, dj got us fallin in love, climax, scream and his new song with NIcki which im sure will have a great video.
EDIT: We now know that Beyonce was given the award
So, how would you award MTV's video vanguard award for the remainder of the decade and beyond
2014- EDIT Beyonce
2015- ???
2016- Usher
2017- Pink...I'm sure she'll be at the end of her next era by then
2018- Rock group like Linkin Park
2019- Rihanna
2020 and Beyond- Jay z, Taylor swift, Xtina, Drake, Nicki, Bruno, Gaga, Katy, Bieber
Eminem is supposed to have a GH and album out soon so I say Eminem

well her era ended last year and it would be smart to do it at the closing or beginning of an era.
So I'm sure she'll put out another album in 2015/6...

Christina's videography is soooooooo much better than her contemporary.
Her back to basics video alone can't be touch.
These awards are for promotional gain....rather than the actual purpose of the award, sadly.
