Here is a political map of Europe from 100 years ago...



...as you can see it is incredibly different to how Europe is now. So, as you can see, borders and nations change all the time. In 100 years time, the world will look very different.

Can you think of any possibilities of new countries forming? What are your predictions for future nations?

(This is just a fun thread, don't get too extreme.)

I'm here for a United States of Africa, and a Federal Republic of Europe.

I can't see a lote of changes happening in Europe.
Maybe Belgium will be split since it's basically 2 countries already.

Scotland won't get its independence though, the polls firmly show the pro-union sentiment is dominant. I think what'll happen is they'll get more devolution, but culturally the government will make sure they become more integrated so it doesn't happen again.

I hope Iceland get independence from the UK though.

I went to Hong Kong in March and there were unofficial pro-independence posters literally EVERYWHERE. They'll be a rebellion soon before SAR status is lost, and I doubt China will bother with war; they'll just pump all money into Shanghai and wave HK goodbye.
