Well I work at a Cheveron as a clerk from 2pm-10:30pm(closing time) and I was on the last hour of my shift getting my stuff ready to mop. It takes like 2 minutes to prepare everything to mop, and the room you do that in is like 30 ft away from the main room so it's kind of a struggle to take care of the customers and prepare the mopping utilities at the same time.(I usually go in an out of that room evey 20 seconds just to make sure no one is there).

So, in the time I was away from the register some drunk fat guy who wanted to buy a 24 pk of BudLight came along, and when I got back he accused me of having sex in the "back"(and he kept on repeating it). I had to explain to him that I was alone and couldn't possibly have sex by myself (never tell anyone you're working by yourself, it's dangerous), so he angrilly called me a ******. I just whateverd him and pretended that I didn't understand.

The only good part about this encounter was that he ended up paying more than he should have for the beer because he thought that I was gonna mark up the price of the beer since he saw me typing in numbers. He told me to scan it, and then called me a bitch. I tried to explain that he would pay more if I scanned it but he yelled over me (I was typing the true price, which is cheaper than the scan price so the jokes on him)...

I have so many but this one happened like 15 minutes ago. So I sell perfumes and a women was here looking for perfumes, I showed her a few she was very nice we had a chat and when she wanted to pay I asked her nicely to step aside because she was in the way and I could't open the drawer where we keep the money and out of the blue she called me a "****ing bitch" grabbed the perfume and left without paying and I was like

WTF.

someone wanted to pay cash but that's not possible at some check-outs, and even before I was able to make him pay at another check-out, he left his stuff and leaved the store.

When I was working as a part-time chef in my ex-boyfriend's family restaurant, I overcooked a fish, can't recall what it was, and drenched the salad with dressing and the customer demanded my ex-bf's mother to bring me to her table. The woman yelled at me and shoved the plate to my stomach. I was so petrified, not because the whole place stared at me so sorrily, but because I didn't know what she was talking about. She was French and I was studying/working abroad.

You have no idea how dim-witted the general public are until you work at McDonald's. They are all so stupid. The best one I ever had was a guy wanted to put in a complaint to my manager about me because I let him buy a cheeseburger when he was vegetarian. I had no idea whatsoever he was vegetarian because he never even told me. I explained to my manager & we had a good laugh at his stupid he was.

I bought this can drink two days ago and it said 59p on the can and the guy was like 60p and I was like umm so I gave him £1 and I got 40p back and I was so tempted to say I was meant to get 41p back but I didn't wanna seem poor and I don't like coppers anyways but he can't keep getting away with this stuff because if he's like not giving me 1p change then what if some homeless man comes and he ends up not giving him 10p change? and that 10p change could really help him dog for instant? like he needs a dog, he's loneliness. Like loneliness is a theme in of mice and men. I feel responsible for this. Can anyone stop the guilt?
