This is a perfect example of how Katy Perry has the perfect team. Forget all these NBC, HBO, MTV, E! specials that these other gorls are doing. Part of Me (the film) went directly to cinemas and showed ha break-up and the success of Teenage Dream, not to mention it was supported with The Complete Confection singles Part of Me (which shared the name with the film) and Wide Awake.

A 9pm EDT time slot on a Sunday night after a long holiday weekend. I am sure that has a lot to do with it...aside from the weak promotion given by NBC. They used the commercial breaks as a vehicle to push their fall lineup.
