Hot Digital Songs started in February 2005.
Britney's peaks on the HDS...
Do Somethin' #49
Gimme More #1
Piece of Me #8
Break the Ice #35
Womanizer #1
Just think... those would peak the song's peaks if our Hot 100 was sales only, with no airplay factor.
And, BTW, Me Against the Music peaked at #3 on the Hot Digital Tracks, which did count digital sales before we started counting them officially in 2005. So, that beats the #1 logic.
Here are my p/ds if downloads had counted in Britney's time.
...Baby One More Time #1 (obviously)
Sometimes #11
(You Drive Me) Crazy #2
Born to Make You Happy #87 (not an official US single)
From the Bottom of My Broken Heart #6
Oops!... I Did It Again #1
Lucky #5
Stronger #3
Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know #40
I'm a Slave 4 U #1
Overprotected #7
I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman #13
I Love Rock 'n' Roll #56
Boys #18
Me Against the Music #2
Toxic #1
Everytime #1
Outrageous #16
My Prerogative #6
Do Somethin' #12
