All postponed Rock Witchu tour dates officially cancelled
Janet's representatives officially announced today that they will not reschedule any of the remaining postponed dates of the Rock Witchu Tour.
The announcement states that the concerts are not being rescheduled "due to conflicts in the singer's schedule."
The concerts that have been cancelled are:
- Montreal (Originally scheduled for Sept. 29)
- Boston (Originally scheduled for Oct. 1)
- Philadelphia (Originally scheduled for Oct. 2)
- Greensboro (Originally scheduled for Oct. 4)
- Ft. Lauderdale (Originally scheduled for Oct. 7)
- Uncasville (Originally scheduled for Oct. 11)
- Verona (Originally scheduled for Oct. 13)
Refunds for all of the shows are available at the point of purchase. If tickets were purchased through the fan club, they will be automatically refunded.
There currently are no scheduled dates remaining for the Rock Witchu Tour. There has been no official announcement about whether the tour is officially over or if more dates will be added in the future.

So unprofessional, of her and her management. They didn't announce that the dates wouldn't be rescheduled until YESTERDAY. She has been completely silent through all of this. And her stans have finally become sane. They used to blame everything else for her downfall, but they've finally realized it's her fault, and I know she's going to lose a lot of people because of this, as if she wasn't in a laughable position already compared to her former "rivals" Madonna and Mariah.
So far there have been 353 comments on Janet-Xone. The ones that stood out to me:
Quote:
...Janet has to prove to me now she wants me as a fan, I've done my part to excess. I bought at least 4 copies of A4U, Damita Jo, 20YO, and now Discipline, been to shows, have tons of tour merch, vinyl records, drove 3 hours to NYC for the Today Show and GMA twice, stood in the rain for 9 hours to see her. I supported her, and for her to let me down like this, naw my friend she is going to have to work for it next time.

Janet did this to herself!
The one place I thought Janet would have success, she didn't. I hate the way she treats her fans now. I wish the old Janet would come back. It seems when she got with JD and superbowl happen we lost Janet.
Sick of defending her. She own us some answers. JD is the only one that is happy her brought her down to being nothing.

this was such a mess. think her popularity is in the toilet now? well it is going to reach an even greater low because of this. the people who don't even make close to what she makes spent lots of money to see her, including flights, hotels, time off work etc. and she goes and does this. nope, this doesnt sit well with me.

I'm sooooo sorry to all the fans that were let down. And to the fans overseas that are still without an answer. I was wondering about the [Pleasure Principle] line as well. The book and show hmm not so much. Def Jam probably nixed that. I gave up on it when the tour began and still no show. And that book how long has she been talking about it again? If they happen I'll watch/ buy if not oh well but Im tired of wondering.
By not giving you guys notice she only hurt herself, her already fragile rep with the public and
her increasingly fragile relationship with some fans. She gave all of those critics fodder as far as empty seats. If you had notice about your city you could have traveled some place else and filled those empty seats. You would have seen the show and Janet would have had much better turnouts.
She has given you fans every right to be upset and make the comments you're making. It is hard to defend someone that doesn't fight for themselves. As far as the post about your friends saying she played you. I know exactly what you mean. It's hard to defend any celebrity but when it seems as though they do it to themselves you only become a dramatic excuse maker. My friend is constantly saying Janet is done...why do you still love that has been....blah blah blah. So I hear you. And again I am so sorry.

JANET - you need to come correct with your fan base if you want to continue in the music business. Your lack of concern for the people that made you what you are today, have lost faith in your ability! I know I said some things that may not be very nice (and I could say much more), but this is BULL S!!!! COMPLETE BS. We have been feed BS since the 20 YO era (if not before.
Once more thing..WHAT THE F do they mean that HER schedule does not allow for the tour to continue. WHAT THE F else does she ahve to do that she is not able to finish the dates???? AGAIN....MORE BS!!!

I've loved Janet for 22 years; I DID see the tour - and while I did not think it held a candle creatively to ANY of her past tours.
She needs to go away and clean house with her "team" including Gil. Grow up and cut the sex out (it's almost comical at this point), FOCUS ON MUSIC - the fun songs we all grew up loving, and get a freaking backbone.
FUNNY how private she is about everthing EXCEPT how much sex she has. We've all loved her when she was covered up from head to toe, when she was fat/when she was skinny, during her depression and the Super Bowl incident. But this is weak and as I said YOUR FANS DESEREVED BETTER.
Sorry Janet - but at this point it's not the Wardrobe Malfunction that killed this era, I think you pretty much murdered your own career. I'll hold true to my heart the 22 years you gave me, but you're going to have to EARN back alot of people's respect going forward (IF) that's possible.

Probably. It would take some damn miracle for her to make a true comeback. Like, the best album since Thriller.
What depresses me is that she's going out this way. If I had been a fan in the '90s I never would've expected such a downfall. Not only did she lose fans because of the SB, but how crappy her albums have been compared to the previous ones. Where did her dedication go? The last person I quoted is completely right--she murdered her own career. What a shame. This is almost as bad as what has happened to Michael, IMO.
I guess I'll just have to love '80s/'90s Janet and forget that '00s Janet even exists.

WOW......this is not good. 1)Either she should gracefully retire now( and do crazy promo performances on the TV circuit under the terms that these are her final performances and then one last big show maybe MTV!!!!!) 2)or she wait a while and give the cd release thing another try. I as a fan pick one so she can return to her iconic status.

Seriously, I doubt she will recover from this. 20 Y.O. and Discipline both failed to sell.

^Agree, like I said above, it would be the worst if she ended her career on a bad note. Nobody would give her credit for her earlier work. I would love it if people respected her again, but I also totally understand why they don't right now. She is smearing **** all over her own achievements.

For good reason. Listen to any of her past three albums and then listen to All for You--it's her worst 1986-2001 album, because it's pure pop with no societal undertones, but it embarrasses all three of the more recent ones, combined.

^Worst of 1986-2001, wouldn't you agree? That doesn't make it bad--I love it. It's what I listen to when I want to be in a great mood.

I think it's right on par with 'Design Of A Decade' and half of 'Velvet Rope'.

She could easily recover, but she won't. You guys fail to realize that people WANT to see Janet succeed. If she stopped being a stupid **** and trying to keep up with the latest trends she'd be ok.

^The way I look at that is, if she's not going to put in what she used to, why should I support her? She said the tour was for the fans but it's readily apparent that she's (knowingly) letting tons of her fans down. I've got to wonder if she was lobotomized within the last five years or something.
When she puts out another masterpiece, I'll buy it. Until then I'm not so sure.
