She just made racist statements which we all have.

It's hard to tell whether someone is actually a racist based off a couple things they've said. And, I'm not excusing the comments or tearing her down over them (b/c I'm sure most of my faves have done the same), but you do have to consider that she was around those types of people when she came to America and had POC friends like that who were probably making those same jokes. She just didn't know better. Still doesn't excuse the fact that she made the comments, etc., etc.
