By CLASSIC I mean REAL CLASSIC SONGS that will be remembered by the GP for at least 10 years. (For the record, smash hits =/= classics)

For example,

Like A Virgin is a classic; Frozen ain't.
Hero is a classic; Honey ain't.
Toxic is a classic; Lucky ain't.
Beautiful is a classic; Come On Over ain't.
etc...

Madonna is excluded because she obviously takes the lead. Rihanna, Katy and Gaga aren't included since it's too early to judge their current hits.

Come On Over is a classic though.

Mariah Carey has All I Want For Christmas.. I don't really know other 'pop girl' classics... oh and I Will Always Love You.

Considering the fact that some people here consider Lucky and Come On Over real classics I think I made the right decision. You know 'em stans are gonna think that all their fav's #1s are classics.
It just doesn't make sense to talk about any song that was released for the past 5 years.

I voted for Janet because I didn't read the OP. I think she has the most big / memorable hits of any of them. But either Whitney or Mariah have the most true classics because Janet's legacy is barely acknowledged outside the industry.

Well P!nk's M!ssundaztood's first 3 singles are still played on pop/top 40 radio to this day and rather often. So they're classic songs for sure. Her first several singles don't get played much but they do go against the grain of what she is now musically. However people always go back to how much they love There You Go.
