YES! I know Pre-order sales count for a album's first week sales but here's what I am really worried about. Ariana just released her album for pre-order and her next single is in the tracklisting (break free) meaning everyone who pre-ordered the album get's the song automatically. Does those pre-orders count for a song's sales and will that make it chart on itunes.... I don't think it does. I think it counts for the album sales when it's released...

There's a thing called "Complete My Album" and that subtracts a bunch of sales from a song's total sales, especially if the album has an huge opening like Taylor Swift. So basically, it counts the first week, but when the album drops and is 'completed', those sales are then subtracted.

Break Free isn't released yet.

When it's released and people decide to complete the album, sales from the single will be deducted from the album's total. I'm pretty sure those sales count the first week.

Currently, any singles included in the preorder are recorded as selling a copy per preorder, I believe. Cap10 is right - upon release of the album, those sales will be subtracted again from the song's total.

As per billboards official rules a single that is automatically download because of pre order, will count towards the charts. - There's no cap on this.

In the UK and other European countries you're only allowed to have one insta download per album.

Yes. It does help the song's sales & it does help it to chart.
When the album is released the song will lose sales, depending on how many of those people end up clicking 'complete my album'

So, if i pre-order the album, will "Problem" get a boost on Itunes?
