Artists Who's Hype Is Bigger Than Them?
simple question, Old artists or new,Who in your mind do you think their hype is bigger than themselves? Where they may take advantage of their 'status'.
I love the **** out of lauryn hill, but I believe she falls under this category, She left such a gap between her debut and now, that her expectations for new music is at an impossible level. she is anticipated heavily for a comeback. She is not the same person that she was in 1998. You can tell just by her stage performances & just over the years that somethings off & she's not as good. And if she comes back, I think people want and expect her to be the same 'miseducation of lauryn hill' style artist from lauryn, but they're never going to get that. It'll never be what they want it to be.
