"She's cool, but it just wasn't right," says the songwriting phenom of Xtina.
Charli XCX is still sharing the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 chart with Iggy Azalea, as "Fancy" spent a fifth week atop the chart last week. The U.K. singer-songwriter guested on another Top 10 smash, Icona Pop's "I Love It," last year.
Sadly, however, she had the opportunity to forge yet another collaboration -- with Christina Aguilera -- but passed on said opportunity.
"I've passed up on many a thing that could have made me a big artist or something," XCX says in a new interview with Popjustice. "Like I was offered a feature on a Christina Aguilera song and I turned it down. It just wasn't right. She's cool, but it just wasn't right."
Other revelations that the "Boom Clap" singer dropped in the sprawling interview: her full-length follow-up to last year's "True Romance" was supposed to be a "punk album," but that album -- which was finished -- has been scrapped for something more radio-friendly.
