Why is Britney's VMA tribute forgotten?
Idgi. Wasn't the 2011 VMA's supposed to be her night, and yet no one talks about it. Isn't that no one cares that she was there receiving the Vanguard award or just that there were bigger moments and stars to be taking about?

Cause it was a sad event and like her 'comeback' win at the 2008 VMA's, it was payed for by her label.

There were bigger moments. Gaga/Jo Calderone and Bey's pregnancy >. Plus, it wasn't much of a tribute.

Probably because there were several other very attention-seeking artists there that night that took away from her moment? Not that it would have been remembered anyway

Besides her dismissing Gaga, it wasn't that memorable. Pretty sure, they only had little kids come out wearing her clothes and that was it.

They rushed the performance so they could promote Beyoncé's pregnancy, and so Britney was overshadowed, which I think it was pretty shady of MTV. She had such a nice TV commercial and all! Just like JT last year, she was overshadowed by something bigger (in his case, Miley's messiest moment).

What people fail to realize is that the kids weren't the real tribute to Britney. It was bey.
