Why did G.U.Y become the biggest flop of Gaga's career?
The song isn't half bad- it surely sounds better than half of what passes for good music nowadays.
And besides, the video was beautifully shot and is regarded as one of Gaga's best, a true art masterpeice.
So taking all of this into account, why did it flop? What happened to the "Spring Awakening"??
It's not catchy and she did a weird form of promotion. Seems like she didn't care, unlike say, Marry The Night when she went to every performance and show and public venue and promoted her heart out.

The chorus is essentially non-existant and the production is fairly stagnant and goes nowhere interesting and it doesn't sound like anything Gaga hasn't done multiple times between The Fame and The Fame Monster. The lyrics aren't as clever as she may think they are and it's just plain not that interesting of a song. The video is no help, either.

People either didn't like the song or it was simply not being played enough on radio to chart high who knows. What a shame tho, cause the video is one of her best videos she's ever made
