Gov. Cuomo’s appointment of Staten Island conservative, anti-Gaga basher James Molinaro to CUNY’s Board of Trustees got torpedoed by the state Senate *Friday night.
Among Molinaro’s Senate-confirmation woes: calling Gaga a “****,” which rankled women’s-rights advocates, sources said.
Cuomo nominated Molinaro for the CUNY post last December.
But the Senate adjourned for the session Friday night without confirming him, Senate sources said.
It was unclear whether Cuomo pulled back Molinaro’s name to avoid a messy public debate, or the Senate refused to take up his appointment.
