I've been noticing most countries claiming their 'South' to be lesser than their 'North'

How do people view the South of your country?

Is the South viewed as undeveloped/ratchet in your country or is it the North?

In the UK, the South is the richer part. Even outside of London, it is richer.

Here in Sweden we generally consider the southern parts to belong to Denmark rather than Sweden (very jokingly of course). Then again the population of the northern parts is like, 2, so...

Everyone that's not in the southern US h8s the south tbh. I only use NOLA and Orlando tbh

It's the opposite in Brazil. The South is more developed than the North.

Um, theres not that many people in the North of Canada cause of the wheater.

The South of Australia, Vic, Tas, SA is by far the most cultured part of Aus while the north, QLD, WA, NT is full of bogans.

In Scotland the Central Belt is where all the action is, the North and South are both flops (Especially the North, it's just all mountains and lochs up there).

Its the opposite in the UK as a whole. Opposite in Wales, where I live. Also, opposite In England.

Germany has still more of an east/west difference. The south has Bavaria which is known to be the conservative, racist and religious Texas of Germany.

There's not really a ''South'' here in the Netherlands. I think all provinces are all equally developed, with North Holland (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague) slightly ahead. Usually people refer to Flanders (Belgium) as the South here, really.

But I'm from the South so I can't really say this from a northern person's perspective.
