Sia talks in this interview that she was 'bummed' when she found out that she was on David Guetta's monster hit 'Titanium'. It was meant to be for Alicia Keys, later for Mary J Blige. She actually found out on Twitter that she was on the track, not another artist.
"It turned out to be the best thing that happened to me. My manager told me 'It would be really good for your pop songwriting career'"
She also performs the original interpretation of the song.
The interview was great and very insightful, not only into her life, but the music industry in general.
Yes indeed, I haven't finished the whole interview yet, but it's so interesting. Sia isn't an artist that I listen to, but I gained so much respect for her. It was so interesting to hear her talking about writing distribution deals and things like that.
I loved the fact that she said that she doesn't wanna do promo, just cause she doesn't love it. And she doesn't have to make profit out of her own songs/album cause her songwriting deals will give her money anyway.
