On the Run tour flopping; blamed on lack of Beyoncé hits
Are their fans On The Run? Beyonce and Jay Z joint tour 'faces weak ticket sales' due to 'family drama and lack of airplay'
Quote:
Beyonce and Jay Z will launch their joint On The Run later this month but family drama may be the reason behind reportedly weak ticket sales.
The family drama combined with a lack of airplay may be contributing to lackluster sales, according to a report on Tuesday by RadarOnline.com.
A review of Ticketmaster found tens of thousands of tickets remained available for the tour launch in Miami as well as for concerts in Atlanta on July 15 and on July 12 in New Jersey.
'Beyonce's album had a big first month with Drunk In Love, but the last several singles have tanked on the charts,' an insider told RadarOnline.
'If you're launching a stadium tour, you have to have airplay, and she's had no hits lately on the radio,' the source added.

Yeah, because Madonna's had. I doubt it has anything to do with the family drama or 'lack of airplay', if it's struggling, it's because the ticket prices are just too high. And she toured the country, like, a year ago? Same with Jay Z.
Not exactly flopping but ok
Almost half the shows are sold out and it's also pretty much for no reason (meaning ppl are only buying tickets based off their name alone), their albums came out forever ago
I'm surprised that its not fairing well but I understand why. Even Drunk in Love was mainly an urban hit and neither have them have really produced any crossover hits in a while.

There is seemingly no way their joint tour can be selling poorly besides if the ticket prices are absolutely outrageous. They're the biggest couple in the entire music industry.
I agree that her lack of airplay is a problem though. She hasn't had a really big pop hit since Sweet Dreams; Drunk In Love WAS her biggest hit since SD (& arguably even bigger), but it didn't sell well partly because it didn't fully get pop support. She needs a song that sells well and gets on constant Top 40 rotation. Nothing else on her album is going to do it though, so it will have to wait until B6.
She doesn't NEED a pop hit, clearly, but I do think it would be highly beneficial to her building a legacy.
this is cause of wendy and her lack of info propaganda
Exactly, she started this, no one else was "reporting" that it was "flopping"
Sometimes I really hate her
But this will probably boost sales anyway so wtvr
