I'm going for the first time on Thursday so I wanna know what are all the hotspots, what fun things are there to do, etc.

I just visited the US from Australia about 7 months ago.. going back in August to see more stuff in LA and see britney in vegas & NYC.

LA was amazing, defiantly go to Six Flags Mountain that place is ON point with roller coasters ect. I enjoyed seeing some comedy shows at the laugh factory, shopping in beverly hills ect. Also go tanning down in venus/ride a bike. There are tons of stuff to do.

Whatever you do, don't visit Union Station or anywhere near there at night.

Other than that, it really depends on what kind of places you're looking for. Restaurants, clubs, tourist areas?

Magic Mountain terrifies me.

I know right? I couldn't get on Goliath, that coaster is crazy big

But I'm going to FORCE myself to go on when i go back

All of these. I'm gonna be there for 3 weeks so I have a lot of time

I went gay clubbing in west hollywood and seen a drag queen dressed as Big Mumma she tried to touch me up too

YESS I'm def going there, I wanna do all the touristy stuff

Santa Monica Pier + that whole area has the beach & shopping.
Hollywood Walk of Fame + that whole area has shops to see.

Go for a hike up Runyon Canyon it has a great view of the WHOLE LA area.
I loved it !

LA is such a fun city. There's tons to do. The Fashion district downtown is very interesting. Huntington Beach is amazing for watching the sunset. Take a ferry to Santa Catalina island. Santa Monica pier is fun. Disneyland , Universal Studios, Six Flags Magic Mountain, or Knotts Berry Farm are fun amusement parks. Walk around Hollywood.

I wish I had the money to go back. Fun city

Dtla! Old towne Pasadena! Don't go to the valley!

But if you want a thrill at SMP -- The Roller Coaster isn't exciting.

Goliath slayed. It wasn't bad.

DON'T VISIT:
Union Station at Night (What ATRL Ariana pointed out)
The Fashion District - Don't be fooled by the name though, you think it's fancy and such because it's such a fashion end.

TIPS:
- Don't go out DTLA alone at night
- Choose where you are staying at
- Be safe! Los Angeles is a huge city.

For what?

im scared to visit the US again. I went and i loved it so much but so many ppl were unfriendly. being a Canadian it was tough lol but I guess it toughens you up. Americans are ruthless in an interesting way lol.
anywyas LA would probably amazing. most of these ppl pointed out htings id recommend (and want to do myself) just be really cautious. I didnt even go to a big city like LA yet the danger is real in the States. pack w/e you need with you and never go out alone. also if your going to a area that could be "dangerous" always lock your doors and windows at night and maybe put a table on the door and always keep a cell phone with you that is well charged.
