The Malay language Bibles seized by the Selangor Religious Department (Jais) from the Bible Society of Malaysia (BSM) cannot be returned because they are proof of the misuse of the term Allah, said state Mufti Datuk Mohd Tamyes Abd Wahid.
They were “strong evidence” that BSM had contravened the state enactment on the use of the word Allah, said Mohd Tamyes, who was present in the meeting between the Selangor Religious Council (Mais) and Jais when the decision not to return the Bibles was made.
“How can we return something which has been classified as evidence?” said Mohd Tamyes when contacted.
I wonder where the brains of our officials in Malaysia went ?? "Allah" means God in the Malay language and they won't let us Catholics/Christians use it

Allah doesnt mean God in Malay excuse me. God is 'Tuhan". The thing is Allah is used to refer to God in Islam, which is also a term originated from Arabic, which is the language of the Holy Quran. Allah has been used by Muslims since its foundation. I am not aware if Christianity or Judaism refer to God as Allah.

Allah has been the Arabic word for God since before Islam..
Not only by Idol Worshippers, It has also been used by Arab Christians since pre-Islamic times.
If the Holy Quran was written in English the word God would've been used, doesn't mean it was created solely for the religion.

I think a few years back it was allowed. But recently a Government official is trying to break things apart by saying the word "Allah" can only be used for the Muslim Religion
