2-3 years.

Fergie so far two years
Mariah Carey three years I think
Avril Lavigne two and a half years
Selena Gomez took fifteen minutes

A while. There was a 3 year gap between CA and Stripped, then a 4 year gap between Stripped and BTB, and another 4 year gap between BTB and Bionic The 2 1/2 year gap between Bionic and Lotus was the shortest time period between albums. So I guess the average time would be around 3-4 years

Kelly is 1-2 years consistently.

Amy Winehouse took 1 year to write and record both Frank and Back to Black.

1-2 is reasonable, 3 is ok, but anymore than than that is a problem. It shouldn't take that long, esp when artists hardly write.

Crazy Love was recorded in 6 months, and it's probably safe to assume most of his albums were done in roughly the same time span.

But on the real, they're some high quality stuff. PRISM's writing sessions started in November and I think they ended around May
