Discussion: Your fave money.

Everytime when some new "Forbes" list or some list of "the richest people" comes out fans of certain artist alwas bragging about their faves money saying things like "who cares that she doesn't have number one when she has money" or "getting more money without a succesful single".
But why your faves money are even important to you?You won't get a penny from them.
And isn't it all about music.not the bling?Having a succesful single everyone knows>>>>getting money from fragrances or from tour that only fans visiting.Not to mention that touring power comes from hits in the first place.Music is the most important thing in the music industry.Isn't it?

I think my fav lies about the money she makes. Her numbers seem too conservative

It's not about bragging rights. It's facts.

I understand there's a lot of members yet to move out their parent's homes on here, and when they finally make that step, they'll learn the ways of the world.

Quite frankly, earning a few thousand from a single isn't paying your fave's bills.

There are several 'less commercial' artists who are speaking very openly about their finances. People are choosing not to listen and spend their days convinced that their fave with 8 #1s, a moderate album and flop tour, is more successful than another, who is selling very little singles, moderate albums and grossing hundreds of millions of dollars touring the world.

It really isn't that hard to comprehend.

Bragging about others' achievements which you have no input into, in general, is pathetic ... wether it's about music sales/numbers, tour numbers, money, or anything.

So yeh, we're all doing it wrong. No one is doing it worse or better than the other

And please tell me those bland, generic, safe, radio-asslicking over-sugared pop singles, massive airplay payolas, heavy discounts that "certain artists" and their rec labels are doing is to make musical impact and NOT money

I'd rather be recording the music that I love and be satisfied with whatever I'm selling, or have many other resources 10x more profitable than sales ... Than be known for songs that I myself dislike, can't feel comfortable hearing on the radio, can't feel comfortable performing live, just for the sake of them.
