The pop/dance-pop sound just isn't in. And that's what they've all been serving with their latest releases. Also, times are changing so sounds like Ariana and the younger starts (with the exception of some like Rihanna/Katy) are the ones that'll be more prominent this decade. Same thing happened if you look back at the success of pop girls who were huge from '98-01 and then compared that success to the success they had in '04.
