Pathik Desai (GIT instructor) is slated to appear with Nick Lachey on the special two-hour series finale for High School Musical: Get In The Picture (airing on ABC, Tuesday, September 16 at 8:00/7:00c) The band, with Pathik as guitarist/musical director, will perform Lachey’s upcoming single “All In My Head” (Jive Records).
Pathik was in Nick's band during the WLOM tour so it's pretty much confirmed....
It's a good move to premiere it on TV even if the ratings of the show isn't really high, better than nothing.
I really can't wait to hear it live and full .

And I don't really think the "Crush" comparison is a fair one. Crush is way more similar to tracks like JoJo's "Too Little Too Late" and Katherine McPhee's "Over It" in terms of sounds and structure.

It won't be his first cover, he already covered Jonatha Brooke's Because I Told You So as a bonus track in WLOF (and from what I've heard in OGWY and BITYS his covers are better IMO).

Is this LP character a girl or a dude? Or maybe just a chipmunk? With that voice my vote is for Chipmunk.
Nick's version is automatically better because it didn't annoy the hell out of me to listen to his voice, but really for me the song is just decent sounding.
