Ok i don't mean to sound offensive but i just don't understand why transgenders are grouped along side with Gay, bi and lesbians. They are like completely different things i don't understand it. The LGB are orientations yet the T is a gender identity, it has nothing to do with sexuality. Can someone please enlighten me, i am trying to learn here
The initialism LGBT is intended to emphasise a diversity of sexuality and gender identity-based cultures and is often used to refer to anyone who is non-heterosexual or non-cisgender instead of exclusively to people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. To recognise this inclusion, a popular variant adds the letter Q for those who identify as queer and/or are questioning their sexual identity as LGBTQ. http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=p...oC&redir_esc=y
because their sexual orientation and gender identity falls outside of the "norm"
it's not that hard to figure out. and you're disgusting for calling them "things" wtf
You misinterpreted what i meant by "different things", i meant that gay lesbian bi and transngender are different things, in the sense that they are not related, not that transgenders are things.
I guess because it involves all "Queer" people. But yea you're right (If the acronym were to only stand for sexuality minorities). It shouldn't be removed though. It would be seen as if we are not willing to also fight for the rights of Transgender Individuals as well
